The story
Captured with a Canon EOS 6D and a 100-400mm lens at 100mm focal length. Settings were f/10, 1/1000s shutter speed, and ISO 1000. The image shows a desert canyon at the end of White Rim road in Canyon Lands National Park with layered red sandstone cliffs and a prominent butte. Taken near sunset at the end of a 9 hour drive through the canyon, the warm light highlights the rock formations against a gradient sky.
